This is the place for extensions! I moved from Las Vegas and had bad experiences finding someone who knew how to do braids in blond hari to hold extensions.Sha' at Jim Ostronsky's salon does a fabulous job at a reasonable price. My hair is now nice and full, 14" long, looks like my own hair, and they don't come loose until you are ready to have them taken out. Great personality and very professional service too! Thanks Sha'.

If you are looking for a great hair experience, this is the place - and BECKY is the stylist of choice. I am pretty indecisive about my hair, and she was so patient and helpful and gave me a look that made me smile from ear to ear - I loved it so much that I went ahead and scheduled another appointment (something I NEVER do).
FYI - I used a Groupon for this, so rest assured that you will get top-notch service even if you use a coupon!! :)

I used to drive to Atlanta every 6 months to get a hair straightener called liscio. I just found Jim Ostrosky he did my liscio treatment Last week. He did a GREAT job on my hair. My hair from being dry, curly and very frizzy. It came out straight and smooth. He did excellent job and he is very professional. I recommend everybody to go to him for liscio treatment or a great hair cut.

I had a bad hair cut....in my opinion. Also, I have cowlics so my hair was hard to manage everyday. I came to Jim and he styled my hair...worked with the uneven areas of my hair and highlighted my hair covering the gray wonderfully.
He also told me to let my hair do what it wants..which guess what my hair is so much easier to manage and looks great! I don't even use my flat iron no more. My hair lays like I like and I don't have to work with the cowlics (mispelled).
I am definitely going back again and again. Found a hair stylist I can trust plus won't cut my long hair to short. :)

20 stars out of 10. I had 'problem hair'. Not only was my color brassy, but I had been going to Atlanta for 8+ years for extensions. I wasn't aware that i had options in Birmingham. After an ankle injury Idid a Google search...voila, Jim Ostrosky salon. Jim was incredible. He was so patient removing the sticky gluey previous extensions, plus he got rid of the brass & im on my way to having the color I have been trying to get forever. If u saw me, u would never know I have extensions,they are absolutely blended with my hair texture & color. Im 1000% satisfied. Jim has a customer for life!!! Salon is wonderful, clean & all stylists are very friendly, not stuffy. Love it.
